Mike Federer

In 1996, Mike Federer founded DEPOT Hauswaren AG. The Zurich-based store – now known as THE BATH SHOP AG – specialises in traditional, high-quality bathroom products. Over the years, interior projects have increasingly complemented the original business. The aesthetic approach – traditional and classic – has remained unchanged. The expertise, however, has continued to evolve.

Wassily Federer

In 2017, the son, Wassily Federer, joined the family business. In 2020, Mike and Wassily Federer took over the distribution of LACANCHE for all of Switzerland, along with the new showroom at Pfalzgasse, just next door to THE BATH SHOP.

THE BATH SHOP

is a division of Depot Hauswaren AG, which was founded in 1996 by Mike Federer.

From the very beginning we have worked with small factories that were still making original shapes by hand. Unfortunately, some small manufactories have closed or moved their production out of Europe.

To carry on with our vision of products that couldn’t be found on the market, we started to have basins, taps, accessories, toilets and much more, made to our own design. We develop, research and work with keenness and passion on details and quality.

We work together with renowned companies in England, France and Italy. All items are made under fair conditions, respecting the applied European norms. Sustainability and durability are taken in to account, a contribution to our environment. Our spare parts department will enable any repair to our products.

Sustainability and quality

Our primary concern is that qualified personnel install our products. Your plumber will provide the appropriate installation. We expect the installer to take responsibility which is why we supply our goods only through him. Of course, you can buy simple items such as a soap dish or a towel rack directly from us.

Durable and repairable products are very important to us - a silent contribution to environmental thinking. Repairing instead of disposing.
